The addition of a slick sidelever action and new magazine system with the Revere model brings it bang up to date - I can't wait to try it in the field. I’m a bit concerned about parts and service but the particular gun I’m interested in is exceptionally nice. Thanks in advance. Uj. I'm a bit concerned about parts and service but the particular gun I'm interested in is exceptionally nice. Thanks in advance. Uj Exceptionally stout. I have had 2 but still have a ST. Have re-sealed a couple for friends with over 100k rounds through them. There may have been a few with less than stellar barrels but most would still be competitive with the Steyrs and Thomases of today’s FT.http://coiffurenais.com/userfiles/cricut-imagine-instruction-manual.xml

daystate crx manual, daystate crx manual transmission.

My single complaint was off hand balance is not the best. Some use a jacket and glove to help the off hand. Trigger is true 2 stage but will only go down to about 6 oz region. Joe Korick did offer a replacement reg but the factory one yields single digit ES in my experience. VERY solid rifles. Bob Exceptionally stout. John They perform just as well as my Anshutz 2002 and Steyr 110. Only the Cr94 and CRX had steel receivers. For a while Daystate had some versions with aluminum alloy receivers, they were not as good. Adjusting stroke length for FPS is so easy, but does require removing the stock from the action. I do not agree that the trigger can only be adjusted to 6 ounces. They perform just as well as my Anshutz 2002 and Steyr 110. I do not agree that the trigger can only be adjusted to 6 ounces. It shoots great and I haven’t done anything to it. Very well built, accurate rifles. I don’t see myself ever selling it. I see new rifles I would like to buy (no reason other than they are new and have all the internet buzz) and think I could sell the CRX but it doesn’t make sense to sell the CRX at a loss to buy something that won’t shoot any better. If considering buying I would compare it to a RAW. If you can get a new RAW for the same price buy a new RAW. If you can get a CRX at a good savings compared to a RAW then get the CRX. I read about one over in England and thought maybe that one and mine were the only 2 in left hand. I guess there are at least 3. I would be interested to know how many LH st rifles were made. He really wants Big Red. He really wants Big Red. A lot of these old Daystates, etc were and still are awesome rifles that can be picked up cheaper than a new equivelant rifle. Your 97 is beautiful. I don't own a 97 but have a CR-Xst in left hand but I can honestly say I have never opened this rifle up. I bought is new from AoA in 2003-4? and have just shot it. I have never had a leak or anything. It's just a machine.

I don't shoot it much in FT as I am a spring gun guy at heart, I bought it for air rifle silhoette so I had no need to set the scope up to FT level. I just pull it out a couple times a year for matches when I feel lazy. Problem is I get bored with it. When I sit down to shoot with it and I hit everything. Unfourtunately I don't spend some time with it and the scope on it getting it set up for matches as I would no doubt do well. The only plus I see in the newer equivelant rifles is they seem to get more shots per fill.A lot of these old Daystates, etc were and still are awesome rifles that can be picked up cheaper than a new equivelant rifle. PM me if you come up with something that you want to cull out of your collection. Uj Bobby has one of them, and at one time we knew where the other 3 were as well. The only thing that I have had done on mine was had the o-rings replaced. I don't shoot mine that much right now as I have been focusing on shooting piston, but will probably revert back to PCP and this gun in particular next season. Some have said that the CR97's are better, but I have nothing to compare that to. I just know that mine shoots and have shot two clean FT matches with it in the past. They are a classic. I would like to fool around with the hammers spring adjustment. Currently it shoots 16.5 to 17 fpe. I have considered using it for WFTF so would like to experiment shooting it at 12fpe. Still seemed to be a Bisley 2003, and then again at The Midland Game Fair 2003 I saw a gun that was New barrel, new breech block, in fact pretty much new The stock looks like what it is, a reprofiled Pro-Target stock. However, that is This unit moves up and A cap headed screw in the stock releases the whole The cheek piece is very Pro-T, and moves up and Above this. Another update is the inclusion of a thumb groove. RN10 have carved one into their stocks, on the EV there is no I have always liked the reach We have a completely new breech block with a side lever One feature here.

The pellet probe, which also As the breech is sealed, the rear of the This applies additional This has allowed AA to dispense with a This is a much more precise, and predictable method of In this area however there is There are separate dovetails in front, and behind the Had I been using normal mounts, it would Depending whether you shoot over your arm, or off your knee, you will require Also, those of us with a more robust The same principle has also been applied to On the left hand side of the breech block, is a Further forward on the same side, but The filler valve It may turn out to be a pig to It’s also worth mentioning that all the When it is fully back, it stays there. You need to It is noticeably faster than the Pro-T. A second From the look of the diagrams supplied with the. EV, the trigger group has not been changed, and why should it, the Pro-T always Release is quick, and crisp. I would The EV seemed to be an out of the box gun. Within a After some further tweaking of the cheek piece and such, this became a matter of I gave the barrel a This is a problem I have mentioned before, which There is a bubble gauge fitted, This means it all but disappears, and allows you to Repeated shots at 50 I was able to Not 100%, more like 60% but that Same 50 yard target, and again 100%, and before I always shoot strings of five shots on these I have to start this by saying that any target Hitting a 30mm spinner at I am looking to lay pellet on pellet out to 55 yards with a rifle like the EV2, So taking that into account, it is without It has an adjustable fore stock, a palm shelf, a Plus there is one other very cool item, a 3.5inch Now that is a really wizzy touch. At the moment, the only way to keep it at the correct power level is to charge the gun up to 1600PSI, and then I've got 15 shots to use before refilling. I've heard that Harriers have grub screws in the back that allow you to control the power, but I see several, and don't know which ones to mess with. I'd like to be able to fill 'er up to about 3000PSI, and just leave it at 16 FPE. How do I do this? I'm agonna get a reg from AZ after the Roanoke show(when I get some funds. At the moment they're goin' to the show!), but until then, this seemed like a good idea. There are two ways of doing this and I'm giving you the harder of the two so that you will be able to see for yourself what it going on inside (you will at some point also discover the easier way). If you don't find the easy way - or if this sounds too hard send me and e-mail. Good luck. Wade Wade Quicker way. Thanks! Cole Dismanteling your gun as Barnes described is TOTALLY unnecessary. There is an acceptible velocity curve for non-regulated guns of about 20 fps. If you want to get more shots at the same velocity, you will HAVE to get the reg! A.22 will yield a little different results, but it is all relative. I admitted to a faster way and am fully aware that it can be done in four steps taking about thirty seconds each but what would he learn. As to your sweet spot comment you are making assumtions.

You don't know that he is not steadily falling through his prefered range. He didn't give all the details, he didn't say whether or not he finds a velocity rise before reaching 16ft.lbs. Even if that is the case I (probably you too) can't say that he might not be able to get more shots in a new sweet spot that comes as a result of adjusting the hammer. The only way he will get more is by some serious tuning or a reg. The quicker way into the hammer is by simply removing the rear cap which requires loosening the two side grub screws on the side of the action and the 2 rear breech screws. The cap IS under tension from the hammer spring so remove the breech screws first then loosen the grub screws on the sides. A shim behind the spring will be the better way to increase velocity as changing the stroke will upset the balance of the valve return spring and the result will only be wasted air. The Daystate CR-94's, 97's and CRX's are the ones that you change the stroke to adjust the velocity, buy they are regulated guns (Huntsmans, Harriers, PH6's, etc.Could you explain why. I was under the impression (read assumption) that a shorter stroke would allow a smaller volume of air at higher pressure than his regular fill and might consequently allow more shots at the same velocity. The shim idea is the cheap and dirty way out. For one thing if you have the safety on a Harrier and you put a shim behind the spring the gun will not cock as the hammer cant come back far enough to catch. You can put a shim or 2 in front of the spring but it will block the holes drilled into the hammer although it still works. The gains or losses you get by adding or removing shims is small. In the 30 to 40 fps range, but if you adjust the hammer stroke you can go from 12 ftlb to 20 ftlbs on the harrier. You are also right that if you find another sweet spot you may get more shots with the same velocity spread.

I was able to get 23 shots up from 19 shots by increasing the power from 18 ftlbs to 19 ftlbs and finding a new charge pressure. I have done this with the.177 and the.25 barrel on the Harrier and have to admit that the shims on the hammer side of the spring make it easier to increase power when I put the.25 barrel on but the adj. for.177 were done with the hammer stroke and I was advised to do it that way by the factory. By the way did you change the transfer port when you swapped barrels. Sam You just stated that you get about 23 shots in the new sweet spot. What did you accomplish. Faster velocity and 3 more shots. BIG DEAL! 3 more shots probably was not what the poster was looking for. You can do all you want with stroke and shims, but the fact remains that the amount of shots will NOT be effected (much) by those simple adjustments.
